Other Info
Courtney is a 22 year old, McGill Undergraduate B.Ed. Student, who
was diagnosed with HL in November of 2009. Since then, she has
undergone two full cycles of Chemotherapy, four weeks of radiation therapy, an autologous stem-cell transplantation and a trial drug in Detroit, MI. Currently, Courtney is on a drug that is administered at a private clinic in Toronto called Bendamustine. Essentially, this drug, that she has been on for the past three months, will put her as close to a “remissive” state as possible. Though, it will not cure her. The last dosage of the drug is in May as Courtney will have reached the maximum number of dosages at that time.

There is one option available that will cure Courtney, a specific transplant. This transplant is an “Allogeneic” transplant that is offered in the U.S. This procedure will involve a three to four month stay for Courtney where she will be closely monitored. However, the procedure itself costs $600,000. The procedure entails a donor (which will likely be Courtney's mother or eldest sister) followed by a few consecutive days of chemotherapy and then the transplantation.

On Sat. June 9, some fantastic bands will come together for a night of music and fundraising to help Courtney. The lineup includes:

945-1020 - James and the Readys
1030-1105 - Buzz Deluxe
1115-1140- King Beez
1150-1225- The Bloody Five
